In 2009 the largest ever Scottish Scout contingent to travel abroad is traveling to Denmark, and East Kilbride Scouts will be part of it.

470 Scouts, Explorer Scouts and Leaders to be part of the Danish ‘Blue Summer’ national camp in July 2009.

Part of the purpose of the trip is to enable those who have never had the chance to attend an international camp to do so. It is expected that about 23,000 Scouts and Guides will attend the camp from over 40 different countries.
